
- q: how do i register for work with jobwire?
a: contact your nearest jobwire office to arrange an appointment to come in and meet with one of our consultants. if you are looking for temporary or casual work, you will need to bring with you your tax file number, your bank account details, the names and contact details of at least two of your referees, together with any supporting documents (eg rta print out, copies of licences, skills testing results, etc). our consultant will discuss with you the type of work you are looking for and talk about positions available that may be of interest. once registered with us, your details will be recorded onto our system and your consultant will contact you as soon as relevant positions become available.
- q: what types of positions does jobwire recruit for?
a: jobwire recruits staff for a wide range of temporary and permanent positions across a number of industries. current positions that we recruit for include office support, (receptionists, p.a.'s, administrative staff), insurance (claims and underwriting), finance and accounts, call centre, drivers, labourers, pickers and packers, process workers and trades persons.
- q: what pay rate/salary can i expect to receive?
a: whether you are looking for temporary or permanent work, your consultant at jobwire will always inform you of the pay rate or salary package for the position prior to you having to make the choice to accept/decline the job. we will give you all the details you will need, including the salary/pay rate, so that you can make an informed decision.
- q: when and how do i get paid?
a: for temporary employees, jobwire's pay week runs from monday to sunday. you will be paid for any hours worked during this time on the wednesday following the week when the hours were worked. we pay you directly into your bank account - no waiting for cheques to clear!
- q: does jobwire cover my superannuation payments?
a: yes, jobwire covers superannuation payments, as per the appropriate legislation.
- q: what do i do if i have a problem whilst on an assignment through jobwire?
a: contact your jobwire consultant straight away. together, we will resolve any issues or problems that you may have with regards to the assignment you are working on, including any occupational health and safety concerns. no problems? great… but call us anyway! we really like hearing how you are going out on assignments. call and give your consultant your feedback!
- q: i'm on a working holiday visa. can I still register with jobwire?
a: yes you can! if you are travelling australia with a sub class 417 visa, you can undertake work which is complimentary to your travel plans. the prime purpose of the working holiday maker visa is a holiday. under this visa you can only work for any one employer for a maximum of three months, and you should not work for the full period of your stay. jobwire does register travellers on the above visa for short term placements, ie no longer than three months in duration. if you would like to register, please contact your nearest jobwire office today!
- q: do i need to have my own uniform or personal protective equipment, like safety boots, if i'm hired in a warehouse or general labour job?
a: once you have successfully completed your application and induction process at our offices, you will be given details regarding the company, position and site rules and regulations of the company you will be working at. all industrial casual personnel are provided with a uniform including safety equipment (where applicable). the uniform provided consists of Work Cover approved polo (safety) shirt and cap. safety boots (steel cap) must be provided by the candidate and must be worn at all times.
- q: do I have to have a bank account?
a: yes, if you are looking to undertake temporary work you will be asked to bring your bank account details with you when you register with us. you will need to bring the name of your bank, your account name (eg mr john w bloggs), your account number (not the card number) and the branch number/bsb code.
